The size of the discharge port of the jaw crusher determines the size of the ore after crushing and the production capacity of the equipment.Due to the change of wear and size of finished products, it is necessary to adjust the size of discharge port from time to time. The time and efficiency of different adjustment methods are different, and the convenience is also different.The following is a look at the board type, wedge block type and hydraulic cylinder type of these three main regulation.
1. Backing plate type
The adjusting backing plate is generally located behind the inner bracket seat of the adjusting seat.When the discharge port needs to be adjusted, the number of backing plate can be increased or decreased, and the total thickness of the backing plate can be changed, so that the front and rear position of the elbow plate can be changed, and the front and rear position of the lower part of the movable jaw can be moved to realize the change of the size of the discharge port.

Adjust the backing plate inserted from the back of the crusher, the length of the backing plate is shorter, the weight is lighter.The operator's operating space is limited, so it is not convenient to replace the pad.
(2) insert the backing plate from the side of the jaw crusher
Adjust the plate inserted from the side plate of the crusher, the plate is longer and heavier.The operator's operating position is better and safer.
Plate adjustment is relatively simple, but, often inconvenient, add or subtract plate adjustment discharge port difficult, need to be placed near the crusher, on the one hand, take up space, on the other hand to prevent loss.No stepless adjustment, no automatic adjustment by hydraulic means.
2. Wedge block type
The wedge type regulating device mainly consists of two identical wedge blocks.The wedge-shaped blocks are located behind the bracket in the adjustment seat, and the inclined planes of the two wedge-shaped blocks are relative to each other. By changing the relative position of the two wedge-shaped blocks, the total thickness of the wedge-shaped blocks can be changed, so that the front and rear position of the bracket can be changed and the front and rear position of the lower jaw can be moved to realize the change of the size of the discharge port.
2.1 mechanical regulation
Mechanical regulation means that the movement of wedge blocks is realized by manually rotating the adjusting screw.The adjusting screw is located on both sides of the crusher.One end of the adjusting screw is connected with the wedge-shaped block through the pin shaft, and is mounted on both sides of the side plate of the crusher frame by means of adjusting nut and support.When the discharge port needs to be adjusted, the two wedge-shaped blocks can be pulled by turning the screw on both sides of the frame with a wrench to change the relative position of the two wedge-shaped blocks, and then the total thickness of the wedge-shaped blocks can be changed to adjust the size of the discharge port.
2.2 hydraulic regulation
Hydraulic regulation, is the mechanical regulation of the adjusting screw into the hydraulic cylinder, and the adjustment of the spring also through the hydraulic cylinder to achieve, so that the automatic adjustment of the discharge port, convenient and labor saving.
3. Hydraulic cylinder type
The adjustment device of the discharge port of the hydraulic cylinder is equivalent to installing a large oil cylinder in the middle of the elbow plate, so that the length of the elbow plate becomes stepless to adjust and change, thus changing the front and rear position of the moving jaw to realize the adjustment of the discharge port size.
The adjustment device of this kind of structure can not only automatically adjust the size of the discharge port, but also realize the function of passing iron and clearing cavity, which is convenient to operate and reduce labor intensity.
But the jaw crusher would be more expensive to make and would require workers' operating and maintenance skills.
To sum up, the pad type is the simplest, but inconvenient to operate;The wedge-shaped block type can be adjusted automatically and the operation is more convenient.The hydraulic cylinder type can not only adjust the discharge port automatically, but also realize the function of passing iron and clearing the cavity, which is easy to use and reduces the labor intensity of the operator.
However, with the development and progress of the society, the hydraulic cylinder type adjustment device will be used more and more, and become the main discharge mouth adjustment mode of jaw crusher.
